NUMBERS:  (Update: 5/19/08)  Again this year, we are having problems with riders not having numbers on their back or the wrong numbers on their back.  The most infractions were in the 125 Youth classes and the 125 B & C classes.  RIDERS....you should no better than this.  I warned as many riders as I could on Sunday May 18th at Bull Run.  Effective Immediately:  you will NOT get scored if your numbers or backgrounds are not correct.  (Reference pg. 14.E.8,9 & 10 of the 2008 rule book).  If the problem persists, the penalty may result in the rider being DQd for the day.  X-riders will be given some leniency.

Make sure to bring your membership card  and your admission bracelet with you to sign up.  Sign up will be open from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m.  Don't forget that if you come to sign up after 8 a.m. you will be charged a late fee of $10.00.

Riders meeting will start promptly at 7:45 a.m.  All riders are required to be  there in order to race.  Practice tickets will be handed out at the riders meeting.

Practice will start right after the riders meeting.

In case we need to run qualifiers, watch the score board for changes and announcements.

Also watch the score board for schedule changes / class combinations.

Your rider reps are Scott LoSciuto #61 and Todd Fields #580.

Dear Riders & Parents of Riders,

SELF POLICING:  I have gotten a lot of complaints lately that the rules are not being enforced.   I wish we had the luxury of having several referee at a race, but we don’t.  We depend on you, the adult riders & parents of the minor riders to police your selves & your kids when it comes to following the rules.

PIT RIDING:  Parent’s....when your child comes off the track you should be meeting them & walking with them back to your pit area.  Adult racers....this includes everyone on a 125cc bike or bigger, there are NO excuses....you won...you lost...or what ever you think would be an excuse for riding faster than walking speed in the pits, I DON’T CARE!!,  there are NO exceptions, WALKING speed or walking.  THAT IS IT!!!  If we keep having trouble with riders going to fast we will go back to no pit riding.

PEDDLE BIKES:  We have repeatedly asked that you not bring peddle bike to the tracks.  Now I am TELLING you DO NOT BRING THEM!!  If you do, I will DQ your rider.

DRUG USE:  I should not have to be addressing this matter; I can’t believe that anyone would use drugs in front of their children or someone else’s children.  PEOPLE..... This is supposed to be a family oriented sport and you are giving it a bad name!!  Use your heads, I can’t control what you do in your own homes, but I can control what you do in mine, and this (Hemond's) is my home!!!  If anyone reports to me or my staff, or we suspect it ourselves that someone is using drugs here, I will call the police and have you arrested, and your rider will be expelled from the MMS.

BRACELETS:  Hemond's now sell a ONE DAY bracelet on Fridays & Saturdays during 2 day events.  You must park behind the admission building or the sign up building.  If you choose to park in the pit area with your friends who are staying for the whole weekend you will be charged for 2 days and there are no refunds.  EVERYONE purchasing a bracelet for admission to the park MUST put it on when purchased!!  No excuses like; they bug me or I can't shower with it on, get over it, YOU MUST WEAR IT!!!  If you aren't wearing your bracelet while at the park you will be charged double for another one or asked to leave.

ADMISSION GATE:  Hemond's now have an actual gate.  It will open at 3 pm the day before a race (PLEASE don't come early, and if you show up early and the gate is open, it is open for staff only.  Don’t enter thru the gate until 3 pm; we have lots & lots of parking).  The day of the races the gate will open at 6 am and it closes each night at 11 pm.  We will NOT open the gate at night for anyone to come in or out unless it is a life or death emergency ONLY.  If you are stuck inside because you didn't leave before we closed the gate, you are stuck until we open it in the morning.  Please pass this on to any guests you might have visiting you from this area.  If you come after the gate is closed you can park at the gate on the runway until it opens in the morning.

THANKS FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THESE MATTERS,               SERAE HEMOND,                                                                                MMS PRESIDENT
